COPENHAGEN (Thomson Financial) - Danish shipping transport group DS Torm AS
said it is launching a bonus and stock option programme for 365 of its
employees
, excluding the board of directors, for the financial years 2007-2009.
    A maximum of 1,029,300 share options will be allotted during 2007, said DS
Torm, adding it expects to issue an equivalent number of options in the two
following years.
    The market value of the option programme for 2007 is estimated at 9.4 mln
usd.
    A bonus based on the employees' salaries and performance will also be
allotted, with 75 pct paid in cash and 25 pct in shares.
    A total bonus of 9.5 mln usd will be paid in 2007 provided the group reaches
its expected return on invested capital (ROIC) for the year, DS Torm said, and
added the size of the bonus will be adjusted if the ROIC differs from
expectations.
